AIMMAA – Patron , Mrs Shilpa Shetty Kundra

Shilpa Shetty has been an actress for the last 19 years made her debut in Baazigar in 1993 with a variety of roles under her belt from Dhadkan, Metro, etc. There was a consistent reinvention, one of the most relevant being Phir Milenge where she played the role of an HIV patient. Relevant because the character she portrayed brought about an awareness and social responsibility converting her into a social activist and taking up the cause of HIV very seriously. A bigger opportunity opened up with her winning Big Brother UK, bringing her worldwide recognition. She continues to be seen on the small screen with her various band endorsements and as the judge on the popular non fiction show Nach Baliye season5  . With various film awards to her credit she has been honored by a doctorate by Leeds Metropolitan University and special award for Global Impact-IIFA2007, along with Rajiv Gandhi National Quality Award-2007.

Her perfume S2 went on to become the best seller in the UK followed by her yoga DVD under her own production which became a huge success, making her a fitness icon. Thus began her entrepreneurial journey and Shilpa now has a successful chain of Medispa's under the name of IOSIS in Mumbai, Guwahati and Lucknow . She gives most of the credit to her husband Raj who has been the wind beneath her wings. They are also co-owners of Rajasthan Royals. Their latest venture being Super Fight League which is India’s only league to promote MMA and has marked their entry into TV production.Their Production house shall soon come out with their 1st movie under the banner “Entertainment and sports media”. With all these achievements her biggest wish is to fulfill her dream of giving back to society which is why she has started her own charity " Shilpa Shetty Foundation". Being an eternal positive thinker her mantra in life is “everything happens for the best “and this is what keeps her going.

AIMMAA International Patron : Mr Bilhar Dosanjh

Bilhar Dosanjh has been a keen enthusiast of combat sports.

Since a young age he has participated in boxing and kickboxing, and since then has maintained his interest and dedication in the sport of boxing and MMA by routinely training wherever that may be in the world.

Bilhar has trained with the World Champions like Amir Khan and Manny Pacquiao on their training camps leading up to World Title fights. He gained a lot of knowledge and wisdom from this about how a fighter prepares mentally and physically for a fight.

Bilhar is a firm believer of helping the youth and giving them direction to a good path; he has supported various boxing and MMA clubs and initiatives around the UK to help the youth. British born Indian Bilhar now resides in Dubai and spends of his time in the Middle East and Asia, his aim now is to expand the AIMMAA in these areas and develop collaborations worldwide.
